Apex Trader Funding · prop firm journal
A trading journal for Apex Trader Funding traders
daqverse is a trading journal built for ICT and prop-firm futures traders: it tags every trade with its New York kill zone and tracks each prop account's drawdown rules. Apex accounts reward patience and punish one sloppy afternoon. The evaluation has no minimum days, but the Performance Account (PA) brings a daily loss limit that grows with your tier, a 50% consistency check before each payout and a safety net you must keep for the life of the account. Holding all of that in your head while you trade NQ is how accounts end.
This page sets out Apex's current rules as its own help center states them, then shows how daqverse keeps each one beside your trades: the floor after every close, the room left before the daily limit, the best-day share of your profit and the days that still count toward a payout.
Rules checked on Apex Trader Funding’s own site on . Apex Trader Funding changes its rules often: their site is the one that counts. daqverse is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apex Trader Funding.
Apex Trader Funding rules at a glance
These are the rules for the evaluations Apex sells today (Intraday Trailing and End-of-Day), and the Performance Account each one leads to. Legacy accounts, retired on 1 March 2026, follow older rules that are not covered here.
Sizes, targets and drawdown
Both evaluation types come in four sizes with the same profit target and the same maximum drawdown. The evaluation is a one-time fee for 30 calendar days of access, with no resets and no minimum number of trading days: you pass the day you reach the target, then have 7 days to activate the PA.
| Size | Profit target | Max drawdown | Max contracts (evaluation) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $1,500 | $1,000 | 4 |
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | 6 |
| 100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | 8 |
| 150K | $9,000 | $4,000 | 12 |
- Ten micro contracts count as one standard contract.
- The PA is a simulated funded account of the same size and the same drawdown type.
Intraday trailing or end-of-day: how the floor moves
On an Intraday Trailing account the threshold follows your peak balance in real time, open profit included. On an End-of-Day account it is recalculated once a day from the closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET, but it is still enforced during the day: touching it fails an evaluation or closes a PA at once.
Where the trail stops depends on the stage and the platform. In a PA it stops at the starting balance plus $100 (a 50K PA's floor stops at $50,100). In an evaluation on Rithmic or Wealthcharts it stops once it reaches the profit target balance; on Tradovate it keeps trailing.
Daily loss limit
The Intraday Trailing evaluation has no daily loss limit. The End-of-Day evaluation has a fixed one: $500, $1,000, $1,500 or $2,000 by size. Both kinds of PA have one that rises with the account's tier. Reaching it closes your positions and pauses trading until the 6 PM ET reset; the account stays open.
| 50K PA profit | Max contracts | Daily loss limit |
|---|---|---|
| $0 to $1,499 | 2 | $1,000 |
| $1,500 to $2,999 | 3 | $1,000 |
| $3,000 to $5,999 | 4 | $2,000 |
| $6,000 and up | 4 | $3,000 |
- The tier is set from the previous session's closing balance and does not change during a session.
- Each size has its own tier table on Apex's site.
The 50% consistency rule in the PA
There is no consistency rule in the evaluation. In the PA, your largest profitable day must be less than 50% of the net profit made since your last payout request. Breaking it does not close the account; it only stops a payout request until later days bring the share back down. The count starts again after each approved payout.
Payouts from a Performance Account
Apex pays 100% of approved payouts, up to once a week, with a minimum request of $500 and at most six payouts per PA. Each request needs five trading days that reached a minimum daily profit, and the balance must stay above a safety net equal to the drawdown plus $100. Each payout also has a cap that rises with the payout number.
| Size | Min profit per day (Intraday / EOD) | Safety net | Balance needed to request |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $100 / $100 | $26,100 | $26,600 |
| 50K | $200 / $250 | $52,100 | $52,600 |
| 100K | $250 / $300 | $103,100 | $103,600 |
| 150K | $300 / $350 | $154,100 | $154,600 |
- A PA also needs at least 2 trading days with $50 or more of net profit in every rolling 30-day period.
- Trades must be closed before 4:59 PM ET; the trading day runs from 6 PM ET to 4:59 PM ET.
- News trading is allowed within your normal strategy; hedging and automation are not.
How daqverse tracks a Apex Trader Funding account
daqverse does not connect to Apex or to your platform. You enter the account's rules once, log or import your trades, and the journal works the limits out from them. These figures are estimates; Apex's dashboard is the one that counts.
The right drawdown answer per stage
For the evaluation you choose intraday or end-of-day trailing and, on Rithmic or Wealthcharts, a floor that stops at a balance (the target balance). For the PA you choose 'stops at start + $100'. The Accounts card then shows the floor and the headroom after every trade.
The daily loss limit, with a live meter
Enter the EOD evaluation's limit, or your PA tier's limit. Live Session's loss meter follows it as you log trades. daqverse holds one limit per account, so when Apex moves your PA to a new tier, edit the number.
Consistency before you ask for a payout
Set the funded consistency rule to 50%. daqverse shows your best day as a share of your profit, the total you need for it to fit, and the profit still to make.
Payout days and the safety net
Set five payout days with your size's minimum daily profit, and the withdrawal cushion to the drawdown plus $100. daqverse counts qualifying days since the last payout and shows what can be withdrawn above the cushion and the floor.
Six payouts, recorded
Each payout you record lowers the balance and restarts the count, so the account's history adds up and you can see how many of the six you have used.
Your sessions, in New York time
Every trade carries its kill zone and macro window, so you can see whether your PA's profit comes from the NY AM open or from the trades you take after it.

Questions
Does Apex Trader Funding have a daily loss limit?
It depends on the account. The Intraday Trailing evaluation has none. The End-of-Day evaluation has a fixed limit ($500 to $2,000 by size), and both kinds of Performance Account have one that rises with the account's tier. Hitting it pauses trading until 6 PM ET; it does not close the account.
Where does the Apex trailing drawdown stop?
In a Performance Account it stops at the starting balance plus $100, for example $50,100 on a 50K. In an evaluation on Rithmic or Wealthcharts it stops at the profit target balance. On Tradovate the evaluation's drawdown keeps trailing.
How does the Apex 50% consistency rule work?
In the Performance Account, your largest profitable day must be less than 50% of the net profit since your last payout request. It only applies to payouts: breaking it does not close the account, and it resets after each approved payout.
How many trading days does an Apex evaluation need?
None. Apex's current evaluations have no minimum number of trading days: you pass as soon as you reach the profit target within the 30 days of access.
Can daqverse track Apex's tiered daily loss limit?
It tracks one daily loss limit per account, with the loss meter in Live Session. When your PA moves to a new tier, you edit the limit to the new amount. Everything else on the account keeps its history.
Is daqverse connected to Apex Trader Funding?
No. daqverse is an independent journal with no broker or firm connection. Trades come from the Quick Log or a Tradovate CSV, and every figure is an estimate from your own records.
