Take Profit Trader · prop firm journal

A trading journal for Take Profit Trader accounts

daqverse is a trading journal built for ICT and prop-firm futures traders: it tags every trade with its New York kill zone and tracks each prop account's drawdown rules. Take Profit Trader keeps its rule list short: no daily loss limit on the Test, PRO or PRO+, and withdrawals from the first day in PRO. The catch is in the details that are easy to miss: the Test trails at the end of the day but PRO trails intraday, PRO pays only above a buffer as large as your drawdown, and funded accounts must be flat around FOMC, NFP and CPI.

This page lists the current rules from Take Profit Trader's own help center, then shows how daqverse follows them for you: one floor per stage, the buffer you must clear before a withdrawal, and the 50% best-day rule that decides when a Test is really passed.

Rules checked on Take Profit Trader’s own site on . Take Profit Trader changes its rules often: their site is the one that counts. daqverse is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Take Profit Trader.

Take Profit Trader rules at a glance

Take Profit Trader has three stages: the Test (an evaluation in simulation), PRO (simulated funded) and PRO+ (live, by invitation). A reduced-risk version called PRO+ Development has its own smaller limits and is not covered here.

Test sizes, targets, drawdown and position size

The Test is a monthly subscription with no time limit for reaching the target. The same position limit carries into PRO: there is no scaling plan, and micros are allowed at ten times the mini size.

End-of-day in the Test, intraday in PRO

In the Test the drawdown trails your highest end-of-day balance and stops trailing once the minimum balance reaches the starting balance. It is still checked at every moment: if open losses take the account to the minimum balance, it is liquidated.

In PRO the same amount trails intraday as your open profit rises, and it also stops at the starting balance. PRO+ starts at a $0 balance with an end-of-day drawdown below it that trails up to $0 and stays there.

The Test's 50% consistency rule and 3-day minimum

To pass a Test your best trading day must be below 50% of your total net profit. If it is not, the Test has not failed: the profit goal simply rises to more than twice your best day. Tests bought from 17 August need at least 3 trading days, a day being any day with at least one trade. PRO and PRO+ have no consistency rule.

PRO payouts and the buffer

PRO pays 80/20 from the first day, daily, with no maximum, but only on profit above a buffer equal to your maximum drawdown. On a $50K PRO that means a balance of $52,000 before withdrawals start; the buffers are $26,500, $52,000, $77,500, $103,000 and $154,500 by size. If a PRO account is closed, 50% of what sits inside the buffer can be withdrawn. PRO+ pays 90/10 with no buffer.

  • You must be flat, with no working orders, when you request a withdrawal.
  • Positions are closed automatically at 4:55 PM ET; a trade opened at or after 6 PM counts toward the next trading day.
  • PRO and PRO+ must be flat from one minute before to one minute after FOMC statements, NFP and CPI. The Test may trade through news.
  • PRO and PRO+ accounts must trade at least one day each calendar week, and the PRO home page asks for no more than 50 executions a day.

How daqverse tracks a Take Profit Trader account

daqverse is not connected to Take Profit Trader or your platform. You set the account's rules, log or import your trades, and the journal shows the limits from them. The figures are estimates; Take Profit Trader's dashboard is the official record.

  • Two drawdown answers for two stages

For the Test choose end-of-day trailing that stops at the starting balance. For PRO choose intraday trailing that stops at the start. When the Test passes, advancing it keeps the Test's history and opens the PRO stage with its own floor.

  • No daily loss limit, on purpose

Leave the daily loss limit at zero: daqverse then shows the account as having no daily limit instead of guessing one. Live Session still shows your day's result as you log trades.

  • The 50% rule while you trade the Test

Set the challenge consistency rule to 50% and 3 minimum days. daqverse shows your best day's share and the total profit you need for it to fit, which is the same raised goal Take Profit Trader describes.

  • The buffer before a withdrawal

In PRO, set the withdrawal cushion to your drawdown amount ($2,000 on a $50K). daqverse shows what you could withdraw above the cushion and the floor, so you know when the buffer is cleared.

  • Payouts that add up

Record each withdrawal and the account's balance, payouts and lifetime totals stay consistent across Tests, PRO accounts and resets.

  • News days in view

The Morning Brief counts down to the day's US releases, so FOMC, NFP and CPI mornings are on screen before you size a PRO trade.

Questions

Does Take Profit Trader have a daily loss limit?

No. Take Profit Trader lists no daily loss limit on the Test, PRO or PRO+ accounts. Only the reduced-risk PRO+ Development version has one, as a pause rather than a failure.

Is the Take Profit Trader drawdown end-of-day or intraday?

Both, by stage. The Test trails the end-of-day balance (but liquidates if the balance touches the minimum at any time), PRO trails intraday as open profit rises, and both stop at the starting balance. PRO+ trails at the end of the day up to $0.

What is the Take Profit Trader PRO buffer?

In a PRO account you can withdraw only the profit above a buffer equal to your maximum drawdown: for example, a $50K PRO account must reach $52,000 before withdrawals start. PRO+ has no buffer.

How does the Take Profit Trader consistency rule work?

In the Test, your best day must be below 50% of your total net profit. If it is not, you have not failed: your profit goal rises to more than twice that best day. PRO and PRO+ have no consistency rule.

How do I track a Take Profit Trader account in daqverse?

Add the account with its size, choose end-of-day trailing that stops at the start for the Test and intraday trailing for PRO, set the 50% consistency rule and, in PRO, a withdrawal cushion equal to the drawdown. Then log or import your trades.

Is daqverse part of Take Profit Trader?

No. daqverse is an independent trading journal, not affiliated with or endorsed by Take Profit Trader, and it does not connect to their accounts.
